Doha developed from a significant pearling and fishing village with approximately 350 pearling boats at the beginning of the twentieth century to a modern flourishing city.

Qatar University (QU) has served as Qatar’s principal institution of higher education since its foundation in 1977 and has become a regional beacon of academic and research excellence.

QU is dedicated to providing high-quality education in areas of national importance. The goal of aligning its colleges, programs, and courses with established international standards and best practices supports this commitment. As a result, QU’s accreditation initiatives have been a success, with the support of various renowned worldwide accrediting bodies.
